We love when clients have creative ideas to make the space
their own! One idea we recently loved was creating a lounge area in front of
the bar. Lounge areas make for a nice place for people to gather inside and
socialize with a cocktail style setup or as a comfortable spot for guests to
sit and relax!
Our clients Jon and Michelle Davis brought in a couch and
two love seats with side tables from POMP. They decorated the brick wall with
some picture frames and the tables with pictures of them throughout their
relationship. The room had been set up to provide seating for all the guests in
addition to having the furniture. You
can see more of what Jon and Michelle did with the spaced in our blog post: http://theriverroom.blogspot.com/2016/05/introducing-mr-mrs-davis-jon-michelle.html
The same style of furniture was previously brought in for a
bridal shower in 2013 when Jessica, co-owner of POMP hosted a
bridal shower for her sister and co-owner, Rebecca, at The RiverRoom Jessica
brought in some of their gorgeous sectional couches from the Pomp store located
on Kerr Avenue. The room had couches throughout the room opposed to all in one
area.
David and Christy Hancock brought in some couches from
L&L Tent and Party Rentals (previously etc. Party Rentals) and decorated
the area in front of the bar area with the couches, their cake, a personalized
monogram light, cocktail tables, and a decorative glass table. They chose to
provide seating at tables for some guests and allow the other guests to make
use of the lounge area. To see more of what the Hancock’s did to decorate The
RiverRoom you can see their blog post:
One couch was brought in for Patrick and Lindsey’s rehearsal
dinner. They rented a white couch and put in in one of the corners by the bar area
with some cocktail tables. The couple had a slideshow set up in the back of the room for
their guests to view from the dinner tables or the lounge area throughout the
night. You can see more from Patrick and Lindsey’s Dinner here:
