Following their ceremony at St Mary's Church, Shay and Xrunn arrived at The RiverRoom in a horsedrawn carriage for their reception. Their 70 guests arrived in style as well; by a Wilmington Trolley. With Shay's craftiness she learned from being a teacher, and some help from Do Me a Favor Weddings, the room was decked out in adorable decorations.
Tables were decorated with gray linens, with touches of mint green and coral. The centerpieces each included a scrabble word, a lantern, and a picture of the couple. Some tables had birdhouses or flowers to create a cohesive color scheme.
A Thyme Savor served cute appetizer and drink pairings of burger sliders and specialty beers, mini tacos with mini margaritas, and bite sized crab cakes. Dinner included stuffed chicken, mahi-mahi, gourmet macaroni and cheese, and grilled vegetables.
The key lime flavored teapot cake, cake pops and miniature pies were crafted by the talented Tammy of Creative Cake Design. The details on the cake and around the dessert table really helped bring the room together.
Guests were kept entertained all night long. From dancing to taking silly pictures in the photo booth to playing cornhole and ladderball on the J.W. Brooks deck. They rented the boards from L&L, but gave them a personal touch by photoshopping their faces onto movie posters. How fun?!
