Lisa's aunt and cousins helped set up throughout the day. The tables and chairs were provided by ETC Party Rentals but the family of the bride helped decorate. The tables were covered in white linens and a light blue runner across the middle. Lisa's family took on their creative side and put together the blue floral centerpieces with flower petals surrounding. The couple had around 100 guests and had 13 guests tables and a sweetheart table to accommodate.
Right after 4:00pm, the groomsmen arrived and enjoyed some last minute free time on the deck. There were 10 chairs setup for immediate family to sit but most of the guests viewed the ceremony standing on the lower level. By 5:00, the bride and her bridesmaids arrived via trolley with the Wilmington Trolley Company and made their way up the deck for the ceremony. Very unique! Elijah's mother directed the ceremony.
After the first dance, everyone was ready to eat. The ladies at their church provided a buffet of appetizers, chicken, mac & cheese, green beans, tea and lemonade - very simple and tasty! Once the crowd settled down, David regained everyone's attention and the bartenders (friends of Lisa) poured champagne for the guests to enjoy during the toasts and cutting of the cake. Apple Annie's did a wonderful job with the design of this cake. It was beautiful and delicious! The couple enjoyed a "Good Luck Dance" shortly after to start an open dance floor for all the guests to take part in!
Thanks to DJ Professionals and Video for keeping the party going while Jesse Stephenson Photography captured all of the bride and groom's precious moments throughout the night. Lisa had a playlist for the night but David added some of his own taste to spunk it up a little. The old-timey classics with a jazzy/techno mix kept everyone on their feet. The little flower girl and ring bearer were absolutely adorable on the dance floor together!
