Cameron & Richard's Simply Southern yet Rustic Chic Wedding

On a beautiful and sunny Saturday, April 18, 2015, Cameron and Richard said their "I do's" on the deck at The RiverRoom overlooking the Cape Fear River. The deck was decorated with wooden benches for friends and family to be seated and had white hydrangea floral arrangements in galvanized tin containers along the aisle.  The couple's monogram initials "C R" were hung along the brick wall made out of moss.  There were two silver columns full of ferns where the couple was wed facing the river.

A few cocktail tables and round guests tables were set up outside on the bottom level of the deck with white and green table linens and assorted centerpieces including floating candles with small branches inside.  The rails lining the stairs of the deck were even covered in greenery done by Knot Too Shabby Events. Millie Griffin did the bouquets, boutonnieres and mother corsage.  Near the tables was a bar set up for guests to enjoy a cold beer or wine during the ceremony.

When the ceremony concluded, the party continued inside with a reception that colored the room apple green, white, pink and navy. There were eight round tables set up to seat six people and featured white linens from Etc Party Rentals and gorgeous custom-made green and white printed runners made by the mother of the bride!  The table centerpieces were comprised of tall cylinder vases with floating candles, tree branches and hydrangeas done by the aunt of the bride.

There were eight cocktail tables set up with white and green linens and tied with white polka dot burlap bows at the middle. Edison lights from The Audio Visual People were strung across the room with blue and navy lanterns hung upon them. They also hung lights in a zig zag pattern outside on the deck. The couple had a wooden painted frame for guests to sign as a guestbook.  Sarvis Images was on site to capture all of the beautiful colors and decor around the room.

When it was time to indulge, Middle of the Island provided a buffet with crab cakes, pesto tortellini, a baked potato bar, squash casserole, vegetable medley, & mac and cheese. served. During cocktail hour, they chose a shrimp and grits station, along with other passed appetizers.  Middle of the Island also provided bartending inside and outside serving an assortment of beer and wine choices.

DJ Professionals and Video had guests dancing all night to the best beats.  Knot Too Shabby Events coordinated the event to handle all of the details and make sure the event ran smoothly.  For that sweet treat of the night, guests were given an ice cream bar from Middle of the Island along with cupcakes made by Creative Cake Design by Tammy Hodge. We left so full!

We had a lovely time hosting Cameron and Richard's wedding and we wish them all the best wishes in their newlywed life!
