On Friday, August 3rd, 2012, Kristen and Aaron were joined by 50 of their closest friends and family members for their rehearsal dinner from 5:00-8:00pm. A buffet dinner was provided by Middle of the Island Catering. They opted to use their drop off service. Aaron's grooms cake was a rugby ball made from Melissa's Cake CreationsEtc. Party Rentals provided the linens, extra tables and chairs for both events. After the guests left the rehearsal dinner, some of Kristen's family stayed behind to set up for the reception on Saturday.
The big day was finally here on Saturday, August 4th, 2012. The beautiful couple got married at Fellowship Baptist Church at 10am. Immediately following the ceremony, guests traveled to The RiverRoom. Guests enjoyed tea and lemonade with fruit tarts and ham biscuits during cocktail hour. Then, around noon, Aaron and Kristen arrived with their bridal party on a trolley rented from Wilmington Trolley Company. The bridal party had been off with Ray of Baca Photography shooting lots of amazing pictures!

Kristen and Aaron had their first dance right after they arrived. Then, it was time to eat! The caterer for the reception was Coastal Catering. They provided lots of brunch items for guests to enjoy. Hot Pink Cake Stand made a gorgeous cake topper and lots of cupcakes. Guests left the reception by 2pm and then had the rest of the day to enjoy our beautiful city!

Aaron and Kristen used aqua and salmon accent colors. The color scheme really popped against the crisp, white linens and exposed brick walls. The flowers were purchased from the local farmer's market and put together with the help of Kristen's dear family.
The couple gave their guests two different options for party favors. One was a box of chocolates that read, "How SWEET of You to Join Us, K + A 08-04-2012". The other favor was nice coffee in burlap bags! The RiverRoom smelt like freshly brewed coffee all day! Great way to wake you up for this early reception!
Kristen is an old friend of Ray's so it was great to get to know her myself. Aaron is such a nice guy as well. We really enjoyed hosting your wedding weekend here at The RiverRoom. We wish you all the love and happiness in the world! CONGRATULATIONS!
