Moira Gilligan became Mrs. Jonathan Matthew on Sunday, May 27th. The couple was joined by 100 friends and family members on The Brooks Building waterfront deck for an 11:00am ceremony.
Penelope Morningstar is a very sweet lady and great minister for your big day. The deck had seating for 30 guests, while the others were welcome to stand for the short, twenty minute ceremony.
The room was decorated in blue linens from
L&L Tent & Party Rentals. The RiverRoom televisions played a slideshow of images of Moira and
Jonathan and their loved ones. Light house music was played on The
RiverRoom sound system. Jon and Moira's first dance as husband and wife was "My House". Then, Moira danced with her brother to "I'll Be Your Baby Tonight" and Jonathan and his mother joined in about halfway through.
Brunch time! Thanks to
Bon Appetite and some self catering, the happy couple and their guests enjoyed a delicious spread of shrimp and grits, sandwiches and more. Moira and Jon brought in their own beer, wine and champagne and used a bartender from Bon Appetit. They served traditional brunch drinks like mimosas.
The reception came to an end around 3pm, giving guests the rest of the day to enjoy our beautiful town.
Congratulations Moira and Jonathan! We wish you an eternity of love and happiness!
