"She puts the color inside of my world" - Ashley and Tripp's RiverRoom Wedding
On Sunday, December 4th, 2011, Ashley Goione and Tripp Kennedy became Mr. and Mrs. Kennedy. The couple was joined by forty of their closest friends and family for a small, intimate indoor ceremony at The RiverRoom at 4:00pm. The feel of the wedding was very elegant and classy with black and white linens, antique glass lanterns, white roses and hand-picked magnolia leaves to tie in the season. Ashley and Tripp's first dance was by Adele. This tender moment was very touching to all who were there. Next, Ashley danced with her father to "Daughters" by John Mayer. John Mayer is one of my favorite artist and this song always reminds me of my dad so I was glad to see they chose this song. Tripp and his mother also had a very touching dance. The guests enjoyed a stunning sunset on the Cape Fear River. Then, to Ashley's surprise, the 9th Annual City of Wilmington Holiday Parade hit our street at 6:30pm. Although there were hundreds of people in the streets, Ashley still stood out in the crowd looking absolutely beautiful in her long, white gown. It was so cute seeing the reaction of people in the parade when they saw a bride watching. All the participants gave Ashley extra attention and plenty of congratulations. To conclude the evening, Ashley and Tripp were sent off through a row of sparklers held by their loved ones. And it wouldn't have been a successful night if their friends and family hadn't toilet papered Ashley and Tripp's car. The couple drove off into the night with toilet paper swinging in the wind and plastic cups clunking around off the car bumper. Before their friends and family decorated Ashley and Tripp's car, they accidently started decorating the wrong car! Not sure how they realized it was the wrong car but this made everyone laugh pretty hard! The RiverRoom would like to congratulate Ashley and Tripp. We are so happy for the two of you!
