Champions for Compassion: The Ruthie Trammel Foundation

Sadly, Ruthie Trammel lost her fight to cancer in early 2014 but this did not stop Ruthie's daughter from starting a foundation that helps rehabilitate past substance abusers called Champions for Compassion. Ruthie always had such a passion for showing others that substance abusers are not just addicts - they are real people with real problems and she knew how to treat them - with compassion! Ruthie's daughter, Rebecca, along with the help of her father & siblings are raising money in Ruthie's honor.

SHM Jewelry Designs created a jewelry line just for Ruthie using teal accents, the color for ovarian cancer. SHM debuted a collection of Argentium silvers and teal Swarovski crystal created to benefit the foundation. Friend Lynne & owner of LJ Design Studio helped Rebecca put together this great event on the evening on November 13, 2014! Lynne designed the flower centerpieces and set the mood with lots of candles!

The event was catered by friend's of Rebecca's. They served lots of dips, appetizers & a chocolate fountain with all the dipping fixin's.

Thank you for all of those who attended the Trammel's Grand Opening & Ribbon Cutting for Champions for Compassion! We know Ruthie is so proud of you all and it was an honor to host this event for you at The RiverRoom!

  1. I am planning for my wedding renewal but I do not want to spend much. That is why I am looking for a beautiful vow renewal location and this place is exactly how I imagined. Can you share its pricing details here?
