Caitlyn + Robbie's 'Til Death Do Us Part Halloween Wedding!

Instead of trick-or-treating this year, Caitlyn & Robbie held the most unique wedding ceremony and reception here at The RiverRoom on October 31st, 2014!
The ceremony was held on the deck outside.  October weather is perfect for an outside wedding in downtown Wilmington!  There were 4 bridesmaids and 4 groomsmen with about 70 guests. To go along with the holiday, pumpkins were set up along the ends of the rows to distinguish an aisle. The brick part of the building was used as the backdrop and a few simple balloons flew beside the bride and groom during the ceremony.  On the lower level of the deck, the photo guestbook was set up beside a pumpkin with the couples' name carved in it! We move the guestbook inside after the ceremony but this gave guests time to sign the book while waiting for the ceremony to start!

Traditional fall colors were used for the reception. The tables were covered in oyster color linens and accented with burnt orange and yellow napkins. The sweetheart table for the bride and groom was a caramel color with a pretty lace overlay. The flowers in the center were also burnt orange and yellow. These petite flowers were designed by the Bride while Bella Florals provided the bridemaid bouquets & groomsmen boutonnieres. The tablesetting focal point was the very interesting centerpieces.  These included antique bottles (collected on a couple trip to NY) with willow tree branches & gold curlies sticking out, a wildflower flower arrangement in a mason jar placed on top of a wooden slab with candles surrounding it. Thanks to ETC Party Rentals for creating such a festive look with our linen & additional table rentals!

Sticking with Halloween, the cake also incorporated orange and black colors. The 3 tiered cake had "til death do us part", which turned out to be the inspiration behind the theme. Thanks to Creative Cake Design for making such an awesome, yet spooky, cake! The chocolate bones around each layer just topped it off!  Middle of the Island provided the catering and 3 servers along with a bartender for the night. Brooke with Southern Bee Designs did the cool chalkboard bar design! Brooke is amazing and we love having her design our bar for so many different events!

A super fun element at the wedding was the photo booth! Caitlyn and Robbie rented the photo booth for DJ Professionals and Video to allow for some crazy picture taking for the guests. This included an attendant to help with the props. Very cool!
Thanks to Matt McGraw Photography for such awesome pictures and Melissa Mendoza of Knot Too Shabby Events for a smooth and successful wedding!  Melissa was hired for month of wedding coordination and was in charge of set up/break down, plus managing all of the vendors & the wedding day! Even though the couple held their wedding on the scariest day of the year, everyone had a wonderful time! We ended the night with a fun bubble sendoff followed by a grand exit with The British Taxi! Congratulations Caitlyn & Robbie! We LOVED hosting your Halloween wedding!
