Kairos & Adam's Cafe-O Themed Birthday Party!

The RiverRoom hosted Kairos & Adam's Tic-Tac "O" Cafe themed birthday party on September 20, 2014! The party event design and florals were done by their mom, Khalilah with A Boxed Event. We loved the suspended pots, pans, whisks and bakers rack over the cake table & our favorite - the mix of frying pan flowers & party boxes. Etc Party Rentals brought the red and white checkered linens for the tables to go with the cafe-inspired theme. The Audio Visual People provided the Edison lights that were hung across the room. A small theater area was created for the kids to watch Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs 2.

The guests had fun playing games such as chalkboard "Tic-Tac-Toe", while enjoying the cotton candy and hot dog station. They even had a cooking lesson with Fanny Slater, winner of "The Great American Cookbook" on the Rachael Ray Show! After instructed them in creating their own strawberry bruschetta, Fanny posed with the kids and birthday girl & boy for pictures! What an amazing treat for the kiddos. Check out this video of Fanny's cooking lesson with the kids! There was "minecraft munchies" such as popcorn, cookies and cake pops for guests to snack on with milk and lemonade to wash it down. The party favors were cooking kits that included a cornbread recipe from Kairos & Adam, along with the cornbread mix, their own cutting board, spatula, mixing spoon, whisk & apron to go home and try their junior chef skills there.

The "pasta" cakes were done by Creative Cake Design by Tammy Hodge and it featured two cakes - a chef's hat and a pan full of spaghetti! We had a great time hosting and celebrating Kairos & Adam's birthday party, and we want to thank you for choosing The RiverRoom!
