Saturday, May 10, 2014 was a gorgeous day in Wilmington and just the perfect day for Sonja and Chad to marry. They wed on
The RiverRoom deck at three in the afternoon. Pastor Fred Roberts was hired to name them Mr. and Mrs. Cleary. The ceremony was set up in the center of the brick wall with a pretty arbor rented from
Etc. Party Rentals. Etc. Party Rentals also provided extra chairs and linens.
Lily Belles Wedding Coordination & Event Design made the beautiful flower centerpieces, along with the bouquets and boutonnieres.
Our very own Melissa of
Knot Too Shabby Events was hired by Chad & Sonja as the month-of wedding coordinator. Melissa set up the room and deck areas for the lovely couple and stayed throughout the entire event to manage vendors and guests.
The RiverRoom looked beautiful with mint linens and ivory lace overlays. The floral centerpieces from Lily Belles were amazing! Lily Belles also designed flower arrangements in small round vases to hang on each aisle chair on the deck. The groom's boutonniere even had beer hops in it!
Sonja & Chad hired
DJ Professionals and Video for all of their wedding DJ/MC needs. Following the ceremony, Sonja & Chad were introduced into the reception for the first time as the new Mr. and Mrs. Cleary. Then, they enjoyed their first dance to "All of Me" by John Legend. Sonja also did a very special dance with both her dad and step-dad. Sonja's sister-in-law, Melissa Holmes, was asked to take photos at the big day! Melissa has a photography company called
M13 Photography in the triad area of NC.
The Audio Visual People provided the hanging Edison lights and
Southern Sweet Tooth Bakery provided the cake and cupcakes! Dinner was provided by
Riverwalk Deli & Grill. They served some barbeque beef riblets that were out of this world! Beer and wine was brought in by the couple and servers and a bartender came from Riverwwalk Deli & Grill.
After dinner, guests spent the remainder of the evening tearin' it up on the dance floor! We ended the night with lots of hugs and kisses for Sonja & Chad! Congratulations you two! We loved hosting your big day and getting to know you both!
