Vow Renewal for Karen & Michael - July 18, 2014!

On Friday, July 18, 2014, The RiverRoom had the pleasure of hosting a vow renewal for Karen and Michael. We host so many weddings but it's nice to take a moment and see some of our couples recommit their love for each other. Karen & Michael have been married for 10 years and have two adorable girls. They had a short vow renewal ceremony with their girls by their side. A dear friend, who happens to be a talented photographer, Russ Hickman, took photos for them. We love this one of them in front of The RiverRoom on the cobblestone street!

Etc. Party Rentals provided the navy linens and burnt orange chair ties. The navy chevron linens on the bar tables looked really nice! I loved this color combo! The bride designed her own floral centerpieces with flowers from Costco and just added some candle votives to each table. After the brief vow ceremony, guests enjoyed food from two of their favorite restaurants - Casey's Buffet and Pine Valley Market! Then, the couple had a first dance as husband and wife for the second time but 10 years later. DJ Professionals & Video was hired to provide DJ/MC service for their renewal. 

The Peppered Cupcake baked the dessert - a variety of cupcake flavors! The little sailor inspired cupcake decor was super cute! Instead of a traditional white dress, Karen wore this gorgeous burnt orange dress! They hung photos of their wedding day on the brick wall in the bar nook and I thought this was a great way to bring in the love and happiness from that special day!

The vow renewal turned out wonderful and we were so happy to host this special day for Karen & Michael! Congratulations Karen & Michael. We wish you many more years of marriage to celebrate! Thanks for choosing The RiverRoom as your vow renewal venue!
