The RiverRoom couldn't be more thrilled about the success of our very first, big, fat, fake wedding on Friday, November 22, 2013! That Knot Wedding was a night to remember with tons of talented vendors and lots of amazing newly engaged couples. The RiverRoom ceremony of Rachel and Robert started at 6:00pm and then it was on to the reception, held inside. The room looked "beyond beautiful," said RiverRoom intern, Courtney Cutting. Other attendees when asked to describe the event said, "absolutely phenomenal," "best bridal show ever," and "gorgeous venue!" We were overwhelmed by the success of this sold out event but without all of the vendors involved, this fun bridal experience wouldn't have been possible!

So, what is a big, fat, fake wedding and why?
That Knot Wedding gave real life newly engaged couples the chance to see what their wedding day could be like! Instead of going to a traditional wedding show with tons of booths and an overwhelming amount of information, we decided to show you in a more hands-on way. So, we planned a big, fake, wedding just for you! It was free to attend and the guests got to mix and mingle with some of the best wedding vendors in Wilmington! The theme was 1950's black and white glam. We added touches of gold to create this beautiful look!

From the ceremony to reception and everything in between...we sure did have a great time showing you what we love to do! The fake wedding was complete with introductions, first dance, cake cutting, bouquet toss, the newlywed game and much more! Couples had the chance to win some awesome raffle prizes from all of our vendors and other local sponsors (benefitting the NICU at New Hanover Regional Medical Center). We danced the night away and ended with a sparkler send-off in a British taxi getaway car! The three-hour event was jam packed with nonstop fun!

indigosilver studio set up a "first look" for Rachel and Robert. We love the grooms reaction to seeing his beautiful bride for the first time on their wedding day!
