It's an amazing thing, ya know, to watch a wedding come together from beginning to end. It's even more incredible to know that you were a big part of it, but my favorite part? Well, that's to watch two spectacular people go through the ups & downs of this life together and still stand up and vow to be there for the more to come. Ashley & TJ have something so rare, not only is there an infinite love that emanates from them, but they embody a silliness and an ability to embrace the easy and laugh with each other through the unexpected. How lucky was I to be a part of such a special day for such a special couple?!

About 100 guests were able to attend the wedding that was coordinated by Cadie & Melissa at The RiverRoom. Ted, the family friend from Raleigh who also provided linens and catered the rehearsal dinner, did the same for their ceremony & reception! That morning, we set up all the tablescapes, put together the centerpieces and decorated the deck for the ceremony!
Fun Fact: The pastor, David, was also the best man! He did an amazing job completing both of his duties to the bride and groom! There is something so special about having someone close, be it a family member or close friend, marry you! It makes the entire ceremony a littler more personal and intimate. As a part of the ceremony, Ashley & TJ both wrote a letter to each other and placed it in a wooden box (built by David-- a jack of all trades?!) along with their favorite bottle of wine to be opened whenever the couple deemed fit. I can't lie when I say this was one of the most interestingly romantic ceremonies
I have ever gotten to be a part of!
Notice the different color shoes of the bridesmaids! How fun!! :) |

The Butler Did It! joined us again with their services! Ashley & TJ got an ABC Permit from the NC board to be able to provide hard liquor for their guests! Nicole did an amazing job preparing drinks, and her staff were extremely well trained and professional!
They chose to have Ted prepare some desserts and had Coastal Cupcakes provide a delicious assortment of cupcakes instead of a traditional cake!
Their colors were cream, white & black with goldish accents! They were beautiful! For the centerpieces, we immersed tulips in various vases with water and set them on a mirror with votives surrounding them! It added a pop of color to the sleek tables! Along with the center pieces, they had a set of 3 dice at each table and cocktail table for the guests to
play a game of Cee-Lo!
Their wedding favors were koozies that each guest could use during the reception! It's a wonderful trend emerging that guests seem to really like! Who doesn't love a koozie!?
With their unassigned seating arrangements, guests were able to sit if they wanted or stand at the cocktail tables and mingle! Each table had 6-7 place settings and each cocktail table had 4! The chalkboard accents throughout the event added a rustic feel to the sleek style of the wedding!
As guests traveled inside for the reception, they signed wine bottles that the couple could keep! We love to see original and different style guest books!
Eric from DJ Professionals MC'd the event! His talent is unmistakable and everyone commented on the music selection, and his humor! It's never a dull night with Eric & we love it! Sometimes he just can't help but get on the dance floor himself!
