What's In The Stocking: GE Holiday Party 12.5.15

GE choose to decorate the room in red and white. Edison lights hung from the ceiling and a Christmas tree was placed in front of the bar area. Each table had a little poinsettia and confetti cut in festive shapes.

Appetizers of cheese and fruit, cakes for dessert, and a tree filled with sealed stockings decorated the area in front of the bar. The stocking would be used for a fun game which GE plays annually at their holiday parties.

As guests began to enter the room they grabbed a drink from the bar along with a half sheet and pencil. Each stocking on the tree was labeled with a number and filled with an item.

Guests had the task of feeling what what is inside and taking a guess as to what was inside. Guesses were written on the paper and were later reviewed to determine winners. The person with the most descriptive answer, or most absurd answer for those gifts that no one was able to correctly guess, were deemed winner and got to take home the gift inside!

Dinner was comprised of Prime Rib sliders, a hot potato bar, pasta bar, and salads catered by Middle of the Island Catering!

After dinner coffee was put out for guests to enjoy.

Happy Holidays from The RiverRoom!
