Friday morning was the kick off to an eventful and exciting weekend. The morning began with a ceremony honoring Susan's retirement from the U.S. Coast Guard. Following the ceremony was a reception which included refreshments, food, socializing, and many congratulations. The room was beautifully decorated with U.S.A. flags, navy blue table cloths, and lanterns with candles on each table.
The ceremony included 20 chairs, a podium, and flags that Susan brought with her. The simple setup turned the main focus on honoring Susan and the years she dedicated to the Coast Guard.
The reception following the ceremony included a patriotic cake table, food and refreshments. The cake and lanterns for the tables were brought in by Susan. Food and drinks were provided by Allora Catering, and the navy table cloths were provided by ETC Party Rentals.
