Sarah and Mark

Sarah and Mark said "I do" to each other on Saturday, May 9, 2015, in Historic Downtown Wilmington at The RiverRoom. Although there was a weather forecast of rain showers, the skies remained clear blue, the guests remained dry, and the happy couple exchanged vows while surrounded by their family and friends.

The wedding was officiated by Weddings of Topsail – Pastor Skip Corbett, who undoubtedly set the stage for what was an amazing wedding.  Etc Party Rentals provided white benches for guest seating and a white wooden arbor with sheer draping where pops of rose sprays were added for the couple to be married beneath.  During the ceremony, there was even a violinist, Julia Lensch, to create a romantic and classical setting.

The bridal party prepared themselves at the Hilton Wilmington Riverside Hotel, where they got ready before making their way to the wedding where Event Shuttle Services provided transportation. After the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktail hour while KMI Photography took the bridal party off to capture a few special moments of the gorgeous couple.

Sarah's rustic style was offset with a mixture of floral centerpieces and white lanterns that held hydrangeas, roses and cascading calla lilies that she and her bridesmaids created. Etc Party Rentals provided the perfect blue and gray table linens.  We were absolutely in love with the numbered wooden mahogany squares to help guests find their seats.

Imaginary Cakes provided another elegant cake, as always.  The cake was a three tier design with vanilla bean frosting. Each tier consisted of a different flavor and design. The top was a milk chocolate and peanut butter filling, the middle was carrot cake filled with cream cheese and the bottom was classic white cake filled with vanilla butter-cream.

DJ David of DJ Professionals and Video kept guests moving on the dance floor all night long The music ranged from classics to hot new tunes, as well as playing some of the couple's favorite songs. The room was lit perfectly for dancing as well as mingling with the Edison lights provided by the Audio Visual People.

Middle of the Island provided appetizers: an amazing fruit and cheese display and a menu of choices that was sure to please every guest in attendance.  They also provided three servers to pass around and serve food to guests, as well as a bartender to serve up those cold beers and chilled wine to thirsty guests.
Along with the appetizers, meal and cake, there was a candy bar for guests to enjoy filled with candy such as rock candy, air heads, pixie stix, and many other assorted sweet treats to choose from.  The party favors for guests were bags of caramel popcorn and the sign read "Life is Salty, Love is Sweet".  How unique is that?!

We would like to thank Sarah and Mark for choosing our venue to host their wedding and reception, and we had an absolutely fabulous time at your event!  We wish you all the best in the new years to come as official husband and wife!  Congratulations to you both!
