Nicole & Jeff's Classic Getaway Reception

Nicole and Jeff were married in Asheville, NC on a day that was very special to them - December 31, 2014 with just close family members. Jeff's grandparents were married on the same day but in 1924. Because most family and friends weren't at the actual ceremony in December, they decide to have the reception here at The RiverRoom on Friday, March 13, 2015.  Guests arrived and mingled with a cocktail hour with assorted wines and beers with Cafe Liardi behind the bar before the bride and groom joined them to celebrate.

The room was adorned with blue and light pink linens from Etc Party Rentals.  The walls were decorated in adorable love signs and even a printed canvas of the happy couple.  Candles inside lanterns were used as the centerpieces as well as candles inside jars wrapped with jewels.

The couple had an especially unique black and white globe for guests to sign with markers as their guestbook.  There were vintage pink printed suitcases used to hold the cards and used to hold tags that allowed guests to give the couple advice and tips to having a happy, successful marriage.

The guests had a great time enjoying the jams played by DJ Professionals & Video.  The food consisted of meatballs, creamy chicken, and shrimp cocktail along with a ton of veggies and fruits from Cafe Liardi.

The cake was made by a friend of the couple from The Flower Batch and was chocolate peanut butter fudge, the bottom even weighed 15 pounds!  There were also tasty pink and brown cupcakes to go with it.

The couple had delicious homemade cookies in silver chevron printed bags for guests to take as they left. Everyone had a great time from beginning to end! We enjoyed having Nicole and Jeff's reception, and we wish them many years of a happy marriage!
