Executive Women's Golf Association Kick Off

On a beautiful Tuesday evening in March, The RiverRoom hosted the Cape Fear/Wilmington, NC Chapter of ExecutiveWomen's Golf Association Kick Off Party. The event began at 5:30pm. The ladies brought in their own pot luck style food with beer and wine at the bar. We mixed and mingled until Beverly Ferguson, a LPGA professional, spoke to all of us about her love of golf and what EWGA means to her. The RiverRoom was proud to be a "Birdie" sponsor for this event in donating the space.

The EWGA is dedicated to inclusiveness and diversity in its membership and seeks to provide timely, valued benefits and services to EWGA members to promote the growth of women's golf and enrich the lives of women through the game of golf. The Cape Fear/Wilmington NC chapter activities typically include: member recruitment events; weekly ‘after work' 9-hole league play; business networking and social functions; weekend golf outings; golf rules and etiquette seminars; education programs; and a Chapter Championship (the qualifying event in the EWGA Championship).

Lisa Crisp, the party host, did a great job with decorating the room. She used gray linens with green felt in the middle of each table to act as a cute putting green with simple florals on top. Each lady in attendance received a raffle ticket to be entered to win some great prizes, such as 2 complimentary 18-hole rounds of golf at Beau Rivage Country Club. The kick off party went until about 7:30pm. Thank you ladies for choosing The RiverRoom to have your party! We loved having you! See you on the green!
