On Thursday, January 23, 2014, 40-50 of Wilmington's hottest retail store owners came to the Inaugural Wilmington Fashion Weekend Launch Party at The RiverRoom. Wilmington Fashion Weekend, or WFW, is happening primarily at Battleship Park the first weekend in April. Two of Wilmington's best  designers had a dream and now it 's all coming to life. On behalf of A Boxed Event and  TJ Dunn Style Consultant, we invite you to join in on this fun, fashionable weekend.

Before we get there, a lot of planning and stress has to go into such a large task. Picking various designers and boutiques to fit each individual's eclectic  style is tricky but these fashion gurus are up to the task. Co-founder, TJ Dunn, spend a couple minutes telling retailers why he wants to do WFW and what his vision is. His goal is to have WFW for many years to come and to inspire other artist in the community, starting with the youth!! The charitable sponsor this year is the DREAMS Center of Art Education, located right here in Wilmington, NC! The RiverRoom is very proud to be involved from the very beginning.We donated our space as a place for the retailers to gather, mix and mingle. Hot Pink Cake Stand provided cupcakes and A Boxed Event sponsored the wine.

DJ Professionals offering up their photo booth to send the retailers home with some favors. The photo booth is always a great ice breaker, with old and new faces alike.
