On Friday, November 8, 2013,
The RiverRoom hosted Kristen Karr and Daniel Coble's rehearsal dinner. We were joined by 100 of their friends and family members! The room was beautifully decorated with Edison lights from
The Audio Visual People, caramel linens from
Etc. Party Rentals and pumpkin and squash table arrangements from Daniel's mother, Beth.
We accommodated total seating for 98 guests! They used the seating for 50 that The RiverRoom includes and then rented more tables and chairs from Etc. Party Rentals.
Beth did an excellent job decorating the room. She wanted to keep it simple, yet thoughtful. The caramel linens were beautiful against the brick walls and she added various pumpkins and squashes as table decorations. To personalize the room, they placed many old photos of the bride, groom and their families along the walls.
Alison's Cakery designed the gorgeous and tasty groom's cake. The groom went to Clemson but I think the bride's family are NC State fans. It's always fun to see what sports teams everyone favors!
Milner's Cafe and Catering provided a delicious southern buffet, serving everything from BBQ pork, mac n cheese, baked beans, cucumber and tomato salad. We topped it off with more dessert - homemade banana pudding! Milner's also provided servers and a bartender. The couple was able to bring in their own beer and wine so they took advantage of those savings!
The dinner started around 6:30pm and we all hung out until 10:00pm. They've got a big day tomorrow as the couple ties the knot at
Graystone Inn in Downtown Wilmington. We hope you have an amazing wedding day...better than you could ever imagine! Thank you for dining with us tonight!!
