April Showers bring May.... Rose's!

On Friday, April 19, 2013, Rachel Dalmas became Mrs. Wes Rose at The RiverRoom! The rain storms held out long enough to have a gorgeous deck ceremony around 5:00pm. Jeff Kapusta officiated the short and sweet ceremony.

Following the ceremony, the bridal party went off with photographer Lillian Higgins to take some pictures. The rest of the guest entered The RiverRoom to enjoy cocktail hour catered by Middle of the Island. Brick Street Cinema was on site to video each special moment throughout the day.

The room looked absolutely beautiful with mixed-matched china rentals from Heirloom Vintage China Hire. Each place-setting was different than the one next to it. We love this idea! I'm so glad this new company has found a home in Wilmington. Owner Caroline and Matt are super sweet too! The room was set up with seating for 86 (12 round tables of 7 and a sweetheart table for 2)! The three-tiered cake was purchased from Wal-Mart and the floral centerpieces were created by the family of the bride and groom. They used vintage vases with flowers from Harris Teeter. They also had lots of candle votives and river rocks to top off the look. 

Wes and Rachel entered The RiverRoom around 6pm as they were introduced as the new Mr. and Mrs. Rose. Then, they had their first dance to "In Your Eyes" by Peter Gabriel. Next, Rachel danced with her father to "King of the World" by Point of Grace. Wes also danced with his mother to "Bridge over Troubled Water" by Simon and Garfunkel.

 Middle of the Island.

David with DJ Professionals made sure everyone had a great time on the dance floor. Right before 10pm, they did the last dance and then off to the sidewalk for a sparkler send off.
