Sigma Alpha Omega is a Christian sorority at UNCW. Caity Rook is a member of the organization and was put in charge of making the SAO formal happen! With Caity's attention to detail and great use of space, The RiverRoom looked very fun and colorful for tonight's event. In addition to renting the room, Caity and her gals rented the deck to take advantage of our great outdoor space along the Cape Fear River. Blue, green and pink pom poms hung from the ceiling and the centerpieces were made with matching gems and silver vases.
The candy bar was adorable! There were cute candy bags labeled "A Sweet Night: Sigma Alpha Omega Formal 2012" with choices of strawberry gummie bears, assorted chocolate, lime lollipops, pixie sticks, blue raspberry salt water taffy and bubble gum. In addition to the candy bags, they also served cotton candy clouds!
Did you know Middle of the Island Catering has a drop off option? You can still get all the great tasting food even if you don't need a wait staff for your type of event.
Adam with DJ Professionals & Video played the dance tunes all night for these college students. One of the great things about DJ Professionals is that they will go above and beyond to make each client's event special and unique. When Caity first approached DJ Professionals about being the DJ for this event, she was quickly put at ease knowing they would make sure the group could still enjoy all their favorite top 40 hits without worrying about any offensive language with the edited versions of all songs.
Thank you SAO for allowing The RiverRoom to host your formal!
