At 3:00 pm on December 31, 2011, Ashley and Billy exchanged vows on the JW Brooks waterfront deck. The couple was joined by 80 of their closest friends and family. Penelope Morningstar married the couple. She is a very talented and passionate minister. I can't believe it is the last day in December and almost 70 degrees outside. The weather was perfect for this winter ceremony. Immediately following the wedding ceremony, guests entered The RiverRoom for the reception. Ashley and Billy enjoyed their first dance as Mr. and Mrs. Barber to "Dancing Shoes" by Green River Ordinance. Then, Ashley and her father danced to "You've Got a Friend" by James Taylor and Carol King.Azalea Limo provided Ashley's limo and trolleys to and from Carolina Beach for all of the guests. The room was decorated with pinks and purples. Linens, tables and chairs were provided from L&L Tent and Party Rentals, as well as white hanging lanterns. A special thanks to all of our vendors who made this event possible - Middle of the Island, Verzaal's Florist, Bill Parr Photography, Wilmington Wine and Alison's Cakery. DJ Eric with DJ Professionals and Video had the party rocking with great tunes all day. The reception ended at 7:00pm so guests could have time to get back to Carolina Beach for the fireworks. What better way to start a new year than marrying the love of your life?! Congratulations to Ashley and Billy. We are so happy for the two of you! Happy 2012!!
