A Legendary Love: Romeo & Juliet's Modern Day Fake Wedding for newly engaged

On Saturday, February 28^th, we hosted our Romeo and Juliet Fake wedding event for newly engaged couples looking for a different kind of bridal show. Now, those of you who could not make it, I am sure you are curious to see how it went. Well, it was a total success thanks to the design by A Boxed Event and coordination of Knot Too Shabby Events! The RiverRoom venue was decorated perfectly for the romantic wedding of the beloved Romeo and Juliet. Romeo and his groomsmen were dressed to perfection thanks to Cape Fear Formal Wear. While, Juliet, the lovely bride, and bridesmaids had their hair and makeup done by Adrianne Lugo Professional Hair & Makeup Artist and wore dresses from The Wedding Dress Shoppe. They had jewlery that dazzled and sparkled thanks to Bevello. The bridal party styling was done by the wonderful TJ Dunn Style Consultant. Now, do not worry if you were not at this fake wedding event because beautiful, elegant pictures were taken by Anchored In Love. The bright flowers and table décor was provided and designed by Desi's Floral & Design Studio. Also special thanks to A Boxed Event, who had a beautiful vision for this classic love story. The colors of marsala, blush and white cream set the ambiance for their fairy-tale wedding. The creative work of Southern Bee Designs added cursive writing and creative tales to add to the ambiance of the venue. Southern Bee Designs created our programs and event flyer. Brooke truly is a talent! Along with pictures taken at the event, videography of the entire event was provided by Brick Street Cinema. However, our event was nothing without the great food and drinks that were provided. Thanks to A Thyme Savor Catering and On The Rocks Bartending, LLC. We had the perfect appetizers and drinks to keep our guests full of food and fun! Our couples were killing it on the dance floor and smiling at the photo booth thanks to DJ Professionals & Video. DJ David & Brian kept the energy of our guests up and out on the dance floor. The dance floor was sparkling along with the entire venue with lighting thanks to The Audio Visual People. When the guests got tired from their dancing, they sat on beautiful, modern ghost chairs, couches, and white tables provided by Eventful Furniture + Design. ETC Party Rentals provided the wooden farm tables inside, as well as the mahogany chiavari chairs, linens and gold chargers. Lastly, after all the dancing, it was time to cut the beautiful cake and yummy dessert bar made by Hot Pink Cake Stand. 

Our Fake Wedding Event ended the night perfectly raising almost $2,000 to benefit local needy families in the NICU at the New Hanover Regional Medical Center. This could not have been done without our amazing vendors and local businesses that provided wonderful raffle prizes for our lucky winning guests, including a beautiful pearl earring and necklace set from Perry's Emporium! The beautiful couple, Romeo and Juliet, left the night in Event Shuttle Service's new Rolls Royce car to start their romantic journey off in style. The love story of Romeo and Juliet would not have been as successful without everyone who came to celebrate - we hope you had fun. The guests left with awesome swag bags provided by Bevello, with a ton of freebies and information.
