Laura + Matt's Sophisticated Wedding Reception!

After having an intimate wedding ceremony at the incredible Kenan Chapel on Saturday, October 11th, Laura and Matt held their wedding reception in downtown Wilmington here at The RiverRoom!

The entire reception had a very sophisticated yet simple feel to it.  The newlyweds hosted around 20 guests - perfect for keeping things relaxed.  The couple chose navy blue, white and gold as the color scheme.  Interestingly enough, the room was set up for seating with only one long rectangular table covered with a navy linen and white runner from ETC Party Rentals. There was a cake table near the window as usual and three cocktail tables set up near the bar area for the guests to use as they wished.

The entire table set up and china looked incredible. The china was also rented from ETC Party Rentals!  The beautiful flower cente pieces were provided by the locally owned Bloomer's Floral Design. A Thyme Savor hired servers and supplied appetizers and a plated dinner.  The bar was open with beer and wine for self-service. Brooke with Southern Bee Designs drew the chalkboard bar menu on the front of the bar.  Everything was very laid back!  Thanks to Melissa Mendoza of Knot Too Shabby Events for getting all of the details together and helping everything run smoothly!

Unlike most newlyweds, Laura and Matt used a large circular table as their cake table. Keeping with the same color scheme, the cake was decorated by One Belle Bakery.  It was a white, two-tiered cake with a navy stripe surrounding the bottom of each layer. Cute, smaller designs complimented the simple navy band. The intricate details on the cake were amazing! 

The room was lit with the Edison lights from The Audio Visual People.  The room was set up with space for a dance floor but the couple decided to only have house music playing with minimal dancing.
