The Fake Wedding - an Alice in Wonderland inspired bridal show alternative

On Sunday, June 1st, The RiverRoom had our second "fake wedding", a unique opportunity for newly engaged couples to meet hand-selected vendors in action while we showcase what your wedding day could be like at The RiverRoom! We chose an Alice in Wonderland theme for a fun, whimsical look unlike any seen before in Wilmington. A fake bridal party was cast to do everything from bridal party introductions, a first dance, cake cutting, toasts and so much more! One of the best components of the night was the prize raffle, an event that not only won several guests valuable prizes but raised over a thousand dollars for the NICU here at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. We want to send a special thank you to all of the vendors and local businesses who donated an item for this special event. We'd also like to thank all of the vendors that donated their services to put on our best fake wedding yet! Stay tuned for plans on our next fake wedding happening in February 2015! We'll have different vendors with a different theme but all the same fun!
