Ashton & Chase's easy-going love!

"Tradition elegance" comes to mind when thinking about Ashton & Chase's wedding ceremony and reception. All of the vendors involved in this beautiful day did nothing short of a phenomenal job to create this dream wedding. Ashton and Chase live out of town so planning the wedding from afar seemed nearly impossible but everything came together perfectly! Wilmington is very fortunate to have a large, amazing team of wedding professionals that love to work together to bring true happiness to each event!

Brittany & her team from Orchid Island Events made the planning of this event look effortlessly elegant and simplistically beautiful from the burlap wrapped votives and tree branches to the lanterns, hydrangeas and tablescapes. Brittany did all of the floral centerpieces too, while Jennifer at Lily Belles did the bridal bouquets. No detail went unnoticed! We had such an amazing time working with these ladies!

High Performance Lighting provided the ever-so gorgeous Italian Edison lights that sets an ambiance in The RiverRoom that sets the mood once the sunsets over the river! They also hung Chinese hanging lanterns over the bar! Let's not forget to mention the amazing, white couch rented from AbeL Custom Lounge Rentals (an extension of A Boxed Event)!

The table linens, reception chairs, and ceremony decor was rented from L&L Party Rentals and worked perfectly with Orchid Island's decor!

Why have one cake when you can have four? That was an easy question for the bride and groom evidently! With FOUR gorgeously detailed cakes from Imaginary Cakes, every guest was able to choose from a variety of combinations! My personal fave was the red velvet!!

David, one of the infamous DJ's from DJ Professionals, always rocks it out with the perfect jams to get everyone out of their seats and on the dance floor! Fun Fact: the bride and groom's most important song request for after dinner was....!! Can you guess it?.... "Get Up Off That Thing" by James Brown!! After mingling at cocktail hour to beautiful acoustic classical, this was a great switch up for the guests! Chris Van Atta was the photographer for the evening! He brought a second shooter to help capture all of the special moments! For guest parking, they rented the Icehouse Parking lot from Park Rite Wilmington.

Ashton looked beyond beautiful in her gorgeous gown and Chase could not have been more in love than the moment he saw her for the first time in her wedding dress. The ceremony was traditionally sweet and intimate. Rev. Shannon MacKay officiate the ceremony. Kim Fisher designed the beautiful floral urns for the deck.  However beautiful and classy the wedding, the one thing I'll remember most about this day was the easiness between the couple and the pure desire to just be with one another. Their gratefulness and appreciation of all the vendors was clearly obvious, but tonight, it all came to just the two of them beginning this amazing adventure with one another. As an event venue, we learn a lot from our clients. Ashton & Chase reminded us that all the hard work put into the event is so incredibly worth it to watch a couple truly glowing with happiness and love exchange their vows and spend the night celebrating with their family & friends.

So Ashton & Chase, thank you for your reminder and the lasting impression you left at The RiverRoom! We truly enjoyed being apart of your day and we wish you nothing but all the happiness in world! Congrats!
