Casey and Keegan: Love on Fire

Casey has been a very special Bride to me since the beginning! At the end of her first appointment to view the room about 18 months ago, I think we both shed a tear and hugged each other because she knew she found the right venue for her dream wedding! Casey Burns' dream came true today, Saturday, October 11, 2013, as she married her love, Keegan Postema. They wed at the beautiful Atrium on 2nd Street. The ceremony was at 4:30pm. After the ceremony, cocktail hour took place at the Atrium and then a trolley from Wilmington Trolley Co. escorted guests to The RiverRoom for the reception!

The room was beautiful with a touch of classic elegance! The color scheme was red, white and black. Very well done, I might add! Casey's day-of coordinator was her friend, Kristi Webb. Kristi did an amazing job organizing Casey's vision and bringing everything together for the big day!

They room was decorated with black linens and white and black runners. Each table was topped with a full place setting, alternating red and black cloth napkins. The centerpieces were designed by the Bride with silk red roses in tall vases. Design Perfection designed the floral bouquets for the ceremony and then we placed them in glass vases and used them to decorate the reception space after the ceremony! We provided seating for 90 guests, plus a sweetheart table for the Bride and Groom. Etc. Party Rentals supplied the extra seating and linens.

The reception began right around sunset at 6:00pm! The backdrop was gorgeous with the sun setting right over the Battleship and the cake in the arch window! As they enjoyed their first dance ("God Gave Me You" by Blake Shelton) as husband and wife together, the sky exploded behind them!  The cake was baked with love by For Heaven's Cakes. Eric with DJ Professionals introduced the bridal party to kick off the reception.

Dinner was catered from Middle of the Island! They served a delicious buffet dinner, serving wedding favorites like marinated chicken and pork with scallop potatoes, mac n'cheese and cream corn! After dinner, they cut the cake and did the toast. Keegan and Casey did the classic "money dance" where they were showered with bills from loving friends and family members. Then, the dance floor opened up for the duration of the night!
The night came to an end with a classic sparkler send off. Kristi surprised the Bride and Groom with a getaway car from The British Taxi. Casey was so excited and smiled adorably as they went off into the night! Their big day was captured by Matthew Johnson Photography and Chapter One videography. We'd like to wish Keegan and Casey a very, very happy marriage! Congratulations!! We're so happy for you!
