The Clark's April deck wedding and reception!

Azalea Festival is here, the queens are out, the sun is shining bright and the crowds have filled Water Street. This is such a fun weekend to get married in Wilmington. I believe that the festival only adds to your wedding experience. It's exciting to know that your guests have that little extra something to do while they are here for the weekend, such as walking around to different vendor booths, listening to live music on the Cape Fear River, watching the Azalea festival parade and much more. There was also a garden party for the Azalea Queen and guests today on Wrightsville Beach! Downtown is buzzing and what better place to spend the day that right here on the water at The RiverRoom?
Melissa Moors and Eric Clark would agree! We met this couple at one of our wedding socials back in October 2011. We all became immediate friends and have had a ball planning the wedding of their dreams. Melissa and Eric were married on the deck at 4:30pm with 60 of their closest friends and family members. Susan Darnell was the minister who helped them tie the knot!
As guests entered The RiverRoom after the ceremony, appetizers such as crab dip were served from Middle of the Island Catering and the couple bought in their own bar drinks. Additional chairs for the deck and tables were rented from L&L Tent & Party Rentals, while Eric's mother homemade the table linens. Theresa with Bella Florals made some gorgeous bouquets. Melissa put together the centerpieces with glass bowls and floating candles and chose apple red as their colors. Carl Butler was the wedding photographer and the cake and grooms cake was from Apple Annie's Bake Shop. Lastly, Eric with DJ Professionals helped get the party going with great tunes and dance moves!
