Tonight, Alexandra Mehalik and Brandon Pettijohn became Mrs. and Mr. Pettijohn. At 4:00 pm, the couple was surrounded by their closest friends and family at the USS NC Battleship for their wedding ceremony. The ceremony took place on the back fin of the ship by the canons. The weather was perfect for an outdoor wedding! Immediately following their ceremony, the guests arrived at The RiverRoom for a cocktail hour, with alcohol provided by Wilmington Wine. Middle of the Island provided the food and bartend service. Bill Parr was their photographer and DJ Professionals and Video was here serving up great tunes. The couple rented the deck to let their guests enjoy the Cape Fear River during their stay here. The deck was decorated with five cocktail tables and lights around the railings. This is a great idea for people who have a younger crowd, especially smokers. A Tent Event provided white and navy linens. This classy, marine-style looked spectacular in The RiverRoom. The orange, yellow and red flowers were provided by Sweet Nectar but a special thanks to Alex's aunt, Carla, for taking time to put together the flowers for the centerpieces. Coastal Cupcakes supplied the cupcakes for the evening, with two special bride and groom cupcakes. They also offer vegan cupcakes! Thank you to everyone who attended our event tonight.
