Mandi & Brandon's Burlap + Lace Wedding - June 20, 2014 ~ RSVP: The RiverRoom Blog

The last day of Spring or the day before Summer was Friday, June 20, 2014! The RiverRoom was in full swing with 4 weddings this week. We hosted the wedding of Mandi & Brandon on this lovely Friday! The ceremony took place on our riverfront deck with Penelope Morningstar as the officiant. We had quite the large bridal party with 7 bridesmaids, 7 groomsmen, 2 flower girls and 1 handsome ringbearer. The ceremony began at 6:00pm facing the pretty brick wall of the JW Brooks Building. I love the arbor they used and you couldn't even tell they dressed it with silk flowers!

Following the ceremony, all 60 guests minus the bridal party headed inside to enjoy appetizers from Middle of the Island Catering. Middle of the Island also provided the buffet dinner. The room was set up with 10 round tables of 6 using cream linens and burlap runners from Etc. Party Rentals. Mandi designed her own floral centerpieces with flowers from a local big box store. She used hydrangeas and baby's breath in mason jars dressed in ribbon and pearls.

After the bridal party was finished taking photos with the amazing Gene Ho Photography, they were ready to be introduced into the reception. DJ Professionals & Video handled all MC and DJ service for the big day! Mandi & Brandon enjoyed their first dance as husband and wife to "Who I Am With You" by Chris Young. Mandi also shared danced with her father to "What A Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong. Last but not least, Brandon had a special dance with his mother to "Simple Man" by Lynryd Skynyrd. Tammy with Creative Cake Design created a beautiful and tasty masterpiece. I loved the rustic yet classic feel of the cake by using lace! Mandi continued this rustic feel by using burlap and lace around all of the mason jars.

For those family members no longer with us, we had a memorial table. This is always a special touch for any newly married couple! We had a wonderful time getting to know Mandi & Brandon!
