After the ceremony was over, guests were guided into The RiverRoom by Samantha's day-of planner, Reshonda Whitsett of Spotlight Weddings and Events in GA. The room looked nice with white linens from Etc. Party Rentals and burlap overlays. The centerpiece on each table was a mason jar with babies breath and white hydrangeas, from Whole Foods of Wilmington. Then, Reshonda placed three personalized candle votives around the mason jars and topped it off with a black lantern. Atop each place setting was a hand-stitched eating utensil holder created by the bride's mother. Of course the utensils were wooden...to go along with out rustic-chic theme.
The room was set with 11 guest tables and a sweetheart table for the bride and groom. The guestbook was a framed picture from their engagement session with a large, white border for guests to write a little note. The party favors were hand-made all purpose seasoning jars!
Coastal Cupcakes baked a variety of cupcake flavors and a cake topped. We placed the cupcake towel in our beautiful arch window looking out onto the Cape Fear Riverwalk.
At the end of the night, Samantha and Fredrick hugged all of their loved ones goodnight and walked on to the Hilton Riverside. The Hilton does offer a free shuttle but they chose to enjoy the nice riverside walk back. Besides...it's only two blocks! Congratulations Samantha and Fredrick! We enjoyed getting to know you both! Your love for each other radiates when you walk into a room! We are so happy to have hosted your big day!!
