Annha and Lane had their ceremony on Carolina Beach at St. Paul's Methodist Church. Island Florals designed all of the bridesmaids and bridal bouquets. After the ceremony, all 120 of their friends and family headed downtown to their wedding reception at The RiverRoom. The room looked gorgeous with lots of pink! We used green and gray as accent colors. The beach-inspired centerpieces were perfectly designed with pink or brown sand, a large candle, a large starfish, jewels and sea shells. The cocktail-style reception was set with seating for 86 guest and a cocktail area over the dance floor. Rent-A-Tent provided extra tables, chairs and linens!
Eric with DJ Professionals kicked off the reception with introductions of the bridal party. Annha and Lane then did their first dance to "We are Man and Wife" by Michelle Featherstone! Annha sang each word of the song to Lane as they were dancing. Oh, sooo adorable! Later, everyone got on the dance floor for "The Wobble" ....even Lane showed off some of his dance moves!
A Thyme Savor provided an outstanding dinner for everyone. The buffet area was really cute with sea horses and shells placed throughout the buffet line. They made a stunning bread display with gourmet cheeses for guest to enjoy during cocktail hour too! A Thyme Savor also provided servers and a bartender to assist with the event. Annha and Lane brought in their own drinks. They served soda, tea, water, white wine, beer and peach sangria!
We placed the cake in the window, baked and designed by a family friend from Raleigh. This was one of the best cakes I've had in a long time! It was so delicious and moist!
Annha thought of every last detail! We hung pink pokka-dot tulle across the bar and used it as runners on the gift table and guest book table. She provided me with lots of extra shells, tulle and decorations to play with and set up for the big day. I had such a blast finding a special place for everything. We set up a candy bar for guest to take away as party favors. The candy bar was a big hit!
Annha's dream send-off was leaving in a boat on the Cape Fear River during sunset so that's just what we did. Right around 8:30pm, we got all of the guest outside and lined them along the Riverwalk for Annha and Lane to walk through with bubbles, into a friend's boat. They even did the classic "Titanic pose". This was such a precious moment!! Annha's photographer, Elizabeth Pench, was there to capture it all!
We are sooo happy for Annha and Lane! You two are meant to be together! Thank you for choosing The RiverRoom and myself to be such a big part of your day. We wish you all the best of luck in eternal love and happiness. Congratulations!!!
