Happy 60 Years Young Lorraine!

Today was Lorraine's 60th birthday and the final celebration thrown by her daughter's Gretchen & Heidi! I've never seen so much closeness from a family so spread apart. Some from South Africa and others from various states of the United States. It's beyond true: Blood really is thicker than water.

Wendy, from A Beautiful Event, coordinated this event using 6 of our tables. She designed all of the beautifully intricate floral arrangements and tablescapes! Party Suppliers provided the chairs and linens for the event to compliment Wendy's arrangements! The detail that goes into her work is incredible and incomparable. What a wonderful joy it was to work with her!

Middle of the Island catered and bartended the event. As always, the food was heavenly and the guests had satisfied tummies full of bacon wrapped scallops, crab dip, marinated chicken in an Italian sauce, cheesecake and much more!

Doug from DJ Professionals appeased our ears with classics and temporary tunes picked out by the daughters! Easy listening was an understatement and it truly set the mood and tone for the event!

"Welcome to the 60's club!" said a close friend during the pre-dinner toasts! Yet, the accomplishments and triumphs described and attributed to her by her close family and friends put her well beyond her years. Professors, associates and friends alike, all stated that she "broke the glass ceiling" in her field of work. Some of the guests had never met before this night; however, they all were connected by knowing this amazing and inspiring woman. So Mrs. Lorraine, Happy 60th Birthday & may you continue to inspire and embrace the wonderful family, friends and life that you've been so graciously blessed with! It was an honor to meet you!
