Love stops for nothing, not even a hurricane!

On Saturday, October 27, 2012, Terry Barnes married her true love, Wes Cook. Wes and Terry have so much passion and love for each other. It's so great to see them in love, laughing and happy. We have been looking forward to their big day for a while and are so happy it's finally here!
Little did we know, Hurricane Sandy was on her way but she was not going to stop us from having an amazing wedding. The wedding ceremony was originally planned to happen on the deck but because of the weather, we had the ceremony and reception inside. Terry and Wes were married at 4:30pm against one of our exposed brick walls. The guest list of 100 stood overlooking the beautiful couple for the short, fifteen minute ceremony. About half of the guest sat at their tables as they watched the ceremony. Steven Webb officiated the ceremony.

Ray Baca was the photographer and he took the couple out in the rain to get some fun, weathered shots after the ceremony. They also popped into a few bars like Slainte Irish Pub for a drink before heading back to The RiverRoom.

First look!
The reception was relaxed, fun and simple. Bill's BBQ catered the wedding. Bill's BBQ had delicious fried chicken, pulled pork barbecue, green beans, hush puppies, potatoes, slaw and outstanding peach cobbler and banana pudding!
Terry and Wes chose white linens with oasis blue accents. The linens and additional tables and chairs were provided by L&L Tent & Party Rentals. We did seating for 84 guests and had 5 cocktail tables set up for other guest to eat, drink and mingle around. The Butler Did It! was on site to bartend, set up and break down. For anyone who is unfamiliar with their service, they are a great day of connection. They only charge $25/hour per person and can pretty much do anything you need!

Terry and Wes' centerpieces were vases with oasis blue and clear rocks with live goldfish. At the end of the night, guest could take the goldfish home. I think a lot of little kids left happy! They asked each guest to sign a river rock instead of writing in a traditional guestbook.
David with DJ Professionals did a great job getting the guest movin' and groovin'. Nothing is better than seeing the bride and groom on the dance floor the whole time! Terry and Wes had their first dance to "Better Together" by Jack Johnson. Then, Wes danced with his mother to "Heart to Heart" by Toby Keith. Terry and her father finished it off with "How Sweet it is" by James Taylor. Everyone got on the dance floor for the Good Luck Dance and then never left the dance floor. It was a blast!

A few of my favorite shots from Ray Baca...

The reception had to come to a close but Terry and Wes took their party to Blue Post...the bar across the street and one of our favorites. We had such a good time hosting this event and look forward to a lifelong friendship with this great couple.
