Lauren & Randy: Rehearsal Dinner

It's July 6th, a beautiful Friday night for family, friends, and fun.  Lauren and Randy have come to The RiverRoom to throw a rehearsal dinner before their summer wedding!  They were joined this evening by about 75 of their closest friends and family, to get their journey together started right.  Guests started arriving around 7pm, where they indulged in some fine wine and beer at the bar while they waited.  We have been getting some really hot weather here in Wilmington and today was no exception!  Thankfully it began to cool down as the party really got going, giving them a cooler atmosphere to go out and enjoy the deck overlooking the river.

  L&L Party Rentals also provided us with extra seating to accommodate everyone at the dinner.

After it seemed like all the guests have arrived it was time to enjoy the super delicious "Pig-nic" provided by Charlie MacGrooders, out of Leland, NC.  They were also kind enough to provide the linens for the event.  There was everything you could possibly want out of a good old fashioned BBQ picnic; vegetables, macaroni & cheese, baked beans, hush-puppies, cornbread, pulled pork, BBQ brisket, and to top it all off a roasted pig!  They also provided cookies and brownies for a sweet treat. We have one word for you; MOUTHWATERING!

There was a slideshow with background music set up for viewing that included most of their friends and family!  It seemed like somebody was always watching the pictures and so much laughter was coming from it.  The tables were decorated in the white linens from Charlie MacGrooders and a vase full of colorful flowers to help set the mood.  The crowd gathered today was definitely a fun and easy going bunch as more people came later to celebrate with the Bride & Groom.
