What a wonderful weekend for a wedding! ~ RSVP: The RiverRoom Blog

This weekend, The RiverRoom proudly hosted a rehearsal dinner on Friday evening and two deck weddings and receptions on Saturday and Sunday.

On Friday evening, Louise Rippy and Jarred Lane enjoyed a beautiful night of tasty food provided by Middle of the Island. The couple chose robin's egg blue as their main color and it really made the room pop! Mr. and Mrs. Lane were married at St. James Episcopal Church on Saturday.

Patty Swank and Robert Braswell exchanged vows out on our deck on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. The couple was united with all their friends and family, including their children.

Following their 3:00pm wedding ceremony, Mr. and Mrs. Braswell shared their first dance to "At Last" by Etta James. The happy couple took their wedding photos at sunset on the back deck. DJ Doug at DJ Professionals played a variety of dance tunes all night, keeping the dance floor fun and busy. MOI served up another great meal, buffet style. A special thanks to Yvonne's Photography and Scott York from Pine Valley Baptist Church, the videographer. The Butler Did It! did a stunning job of assisting the bride set up and break down for her big day, as well as providing excellent bartending service. The evening came to an end with the couple's last dance as "New York, New York" by Frank Sinatra!

The RiverRoom had another all day event on Sunday for Jessica Furtado and Michael Pegg. The couple had a 5:00pm wedding ceremony on the deck, followed by their reception inside The RiverRoom. DJ Eric provided the tunes with DJ Professionals and Middle of the Island shared another amazing buffet. Mr. and Mrs. Pegg enjoyed a photography-themed wedding with hints of gray, ivory and light pink. Thanks to Hot Pink Cake Stand for providing a delicious dessert bar and Island Florals for providing the flowers. The photographer for the evening was JAGG Photography. The girls from A Shindig Southern Event Planning did a fabulous job preparing for this day and thought of every little detail.
