Jen & Dewan's Coral and Teal Wedding Day!

We were keepin' it cool all day with our stunning coral and teal color scheme for Jennifer & Dewan's Wedding Day at The RiverRoom! There were so many cool parts about their wedding, from the shades all the guests wore after the ceremony to the hand-painted mason jars and so much more! One of my favorite things was the DIY photo booth but we'll get to that. First, check out the beautiful deck ceremony of April 26th, 2014!

Jennifer and Dewan wed on The RiverRoom deck by Sandy Powell. Jen & Dewan's adorable daughter, Varisa, and niece, Maya, were the flower girls. Instead of flower petals, they used a bubble gun! Too cute!

After the ceremony, guests headed inside for cocktail hour! Jen & Dewan supplied their own bar and saved a bit of money by bringing their own cheese and crackers for appetizers. Middle of the Island handled the delicious buffet-style dinner, serving all of the favorites from marinated chicken and pork tenderloin to one of my favorite sides, squash casserole! As guests entered the room, they were asked to pick up these cute clothespin escort cards with all of the names handwritten!

Wooden bridal bouquet bought on Etsy at Curious Florals. It'll never die!
David of DJ Professionals provided excellent DJ/MC service all evening! Upon introductions into the reception space, Jen & Dewan danced their way in and kept dancing all night! After introductions, they had their first dance as husband and wife to "Let It Be Me" by Ray Lamontagne. One thing I've never seen at a wedding in my three years of working at The RiverRoom - the groom pausing to take a "selfie" before tossing the garter! Epic moment here!

Jennifer made a lot of the vases and wedding decor herself, staying true to the aqua and coral color scheme. I love how she painted the masons! Jennifer ordered the flowers online from a wholesaler called Global Rose and put them together herself as well!

All of the bright and pretty linens were rented from Etc. Party Rentals. Jennifer & Dewan chose a mix of round and rectangular guest tables. I loved the combo! The tables were able to seat 6 to 8 guest each, sitting a total of 72. Edison lights were hung from The Audio Visual People and Jennifer added her own white lanterns with aqua and coral ribbon! A good friend of Jennifer & Dewan's, Ryan of Duclos Studio, was the photographer.

Creative Cakes by Tammy Hodge did it again with an amazing ombre cake topper and tons of great cupcake flavors! Guests couldn't stop talking about the Carolina Panthers groom's cake for Dewan! The cake stood straight up and down! It looked amazing and tasted even better!

This lovely day sadly had to come to an end! Jennifer & Dewan went out in style and took the "after party" to another downtown hotspot. One of the last things they did before leaving as show us their awesome color-coordinated shoes! We loved every minute of this big day! Thank you Jennifer & Dewan for choosing The RiverRoom as your dream wedding venue! We look forward to hosting more parties with you in the future!
