We hosted Erika and Paul's rehearsal dinner at
The RiverRoom this past Thursday, April 24th! The soon-to-be married couple had 30 of their closest friends and family come together before their wedding on Friday! After the dinner portion of the evening, they invited the rest of their out-of-town guests down to the River to enjoy a cocktail with them before the big day. This new trend is called a "welcome party". It's a good alternative to a rehearsal dinner and feeling like you have to feed all of the guests in town the night before.
The room was decorated with purple linens along with purple and green paper lanterns hung along the edison lights. Lights provided by

The guests dined on several small appetizers from
Jason's Deli, as well as pizza from the local pizza shop,
Elizabeth's Pizza. They brought in their own beer and wine and a family friend bartended.
Melissa's Cakes provided the hockey-themed groom's cake. Melissa's Cakes offers really easy packages for any type of cake for all events! We loved the samples she dropped off for us too!
Erika & Paul hung out with their loved ones until about 10:00pm and then we are sure they were all well-behaved and went home to get a good night's rest! Either way, we hope you had an amazing wedding day on Friday! Another beautiful day in downtown Wilmington!
