Owl Love You Forever! Chelsea and Caryn's big day!

The big day was finally here!! Chelsea and Caryn's wedding reception was at The RiverRoom on Saturday, April 27, 2013. These lucky ladies won the huge wedding giveaway with Etc. Party Rentals and Z107.5 last year, which gave them lots of unexpected money to put towards their wedding. Etc. Party Rentals was here doing it all from floral bouquets to table arrangements and rentals and more! The room looked amazing with the purple and gray color scheme.

I absolutely loved the two different tablescapes. I love owls too! Of course we had owl koozies as guest party favors! They also rented the Italian wedding lights from DJ Professionals to complete the look! David from DJ Professionals did a great job providing DJ and MC service at the reception. Chelsea and Caryn got married in New York recently but had a brief indoor sand ceremony to share with their closest friends and family. They were surrounded by 120 of their loved ones!

We took great use of the deck, turning it into a fun outdoor space during the party. We had monogrammed corn hole (built by Etc. too!), and life-size monogrammed Jinga! We were also able to accommodate seating for 40 guest outside, with an addition to the seating for 60 inside. They designed a cocktail area by the bar with 8 cocktail tables and bar stools! I think this layout worked really well with the amount of guest here!

The beautiful and simple cake was baked with love from Loretta at Carolina Cakes & Confection.

Jim Trice was here to capture all of the special moments throughout the day. This was by far the largest bridal party I've ever seen and Jim took everyone out onto the cobblestone streets and got some really great shots!

The food was amazing as always from A Thyme Savor Catering!

At the end of the evening, guest walked along the Riverwalk to light some Chinese wishing lanterns and send them over the Cape Fear River. The second phase of their send-off was sparklers! Most of the guest went to nearby bars for a nightcap while the vendors stayed behind to pick up all of the pieces!
UPDATE: The City of Wilmington has banned the use of Chinese wishing lanterns. Bummer! They're so pretty (but they can be pretty dangerous too!!)

Some other details and such that we loved!

Congratulations Caryn and Chelsea! We absolutely loved having your wedding reception at The RiverRoom. We are soo happy for you both!

Words from Chelsea:
"THANK YOU sooo much for the most perfect night I could have ever asked for! Melissa, you are absolutely wonderful and we LOVED getting to hang out with you too!!!"
