Mr. and Mrs. Josh Garrett get married at The RiverRoom

On Friday, June 22, 2012, Carey Ames became Mrs. Carey Garrett. Carey married the love of her life, Joshua Garret. Carey and Josh were joined by 40 of their closest friends and family members for an intimate ceremony on The RiverRoom deck.  Everyone's hearts melted as Carey's little sister came down the aisle as the flower girl.  She looked so cute in a dress that resembled her big sister!  Then it was Carey's turn to make her way down the aisle accompanied by her Grandfather.  Carey looked very elegant in her wedding dress and you could tell Josh was very smitten with his bride.  It was a little warm outside, but the ceremony was short and sweet so everyone could cool off inside for the reception.
Once inside everyone headed straight to the bar to grab some favorite Sweet Tea to help quench their thirst. The room was decorated in light blue and white with a touch of pink.  As you walked in, there was the normal card and gift table, but the Garrett's added a twist.  The card box was a wishing well!
The tables each held a glass bowl with clear, light blue, and pink stones with floating flower candles on top for their centerpieces.  The couple sat at the head table along the back wall where they could share their first meal together as husband and wife.
They also decided to set up a beautiful Memorial table complete with candles and pictures of loved ones who couldn't be there to share the special day with everyone; it was a very tasteful addition.
The Bride and Groom took time to pose for a few snapshots with each other and their family members provided by Billy Beach Photography.  The couple then decided to enjoy their first dance together, +1; Bride, Groom, and Flower Girl!  It was so cute and she couldn't stop smiling because you could tell she was in between 2 people who loved her, and each other, very much.  Next, the Bride shared a touching dance with her Grandfather and the Groom pulled his mother onto the dance floor.

Middle of the Island Catering arrived around 5:30pm with the food for the reception.  There was a wonderful spread, and not to mention delicious.  Middle of the Island always brings good food to perfect any party!  After everyone was finished with their meals (getting up for seconds!) Josh and Carey decided to cut their cake from the Hot Pink Cake Stand, a local and favorite vendor here in downtown Wilmington!  The cake was three tiers of gorgeousness!
The couple then enjoyed the company of their loved ones for another hour before deciding to call it a night!  You could tell Josh and Carey were excited to spend the rest of the night alone, as husband and wife.  We hope you all enjoyed your special day here at The RiverRoom and we were happy we got to be a part of it.  We wish you the best, and a lifetime of happiness as Mr. & Mrs. Garrett!
