Road to Devin and Emily Roberts 11.05.16

     After getting married abroad Mr. & Mrs. Roberts held their cozy, fall reception at The RiverRoom! Do Me A Favor Weddings arranged the room using tables, chairs, and linens rented from L&L Tent and Party Rentals to bring the Roberts wedding reception vision to life! With the cozy fall colors and all the family contributions the room felt like a Thanksgiving, it was so welcoming! Guests did not leave the reception hungry! To celebrate their intimate Greece ceremony guests entered cocktail hour enjoying the bar and a spread of Greek food from Olympia. During cocktail hour guests also enjoyed taking photos at the photo booth set up by Do Me A Favor Weddings. Emily's mom brought some sentimental items for guests to use as props such as the veil that Emily used to wear when dressing up as a bride! Port City Que catered dinner serving the perfect bbq dinner which included pork butts smoked for 12 hours! The reception was sprightly thanks to My Wedding DJ who kept people out on the dance floor all night long! The only break guests took was for Emily and Devin to cut their cake! Family members made the three tiered wedding cake, cookies, and 8 different flavored pies! The night came to a conclusion with a sparkler exit and a bit more dancing for the guests who still had energy left! It was a pleasure hosting the Robert's big day! Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Roberts!

Mary & Matthew Larson: Rehearsal Dinner 11.4.16

Twas the night before their wedding day and the soon-to-be Mr. and Mrs. Larson were joined by their closest friends and family at The RiverRoom for their rehearsal dinner. Following their ceremony rehearsal at First Presbyterian Church, the couple and their guests were greeted by a build-your-own burrito bar catered by Moe's and a groom's cake shaped like a giant Oreo. The room was decorated very simply, but matched the wedding day colors. Tables were lined with navy linens and gray chevron runners with mirror chargers, flower arrangements made by the bride-to-be's Aunt, and paper wedding dresses and tuxedos as centerpieces. The homemade photo booth was such a huge hit with all of the guests. An enlarged photo of the 'Future Mr. & Mrs.' was used as a backdrop and guests put on silly props and posed for a photo with a Polaroid camera. After the picture printed, those in the picture signed it and taped it to the inside of a scrapbook. This is such a cute alternative to a traditional guestbook and we loved it! The night came to a close as friends took turns sharing stories and giving toasts to the bride and groom. Congratulations to Mary and Matthew - we wish you nothing but the best in your marriage!

Congratulations Amanda & Geoffrey Range! 10.29.16

Congratulations Amanda and Geoffrey! The RiverRoom was decorated in navy and shades of blush from the linens to the bridesmaid dresses and bouquets.  80 guests came to celebrate Mr. & Mrs. Range. Thirteen tables were arranged around the room to accommodate guests seating, appetizers were placed on tiered cocktail tables, and a barbeque buffet was located near the entrance.

#Brope2016 Hope & Brads Wedding Day 10.28.16

Brad and Hope celebrated their wedding day with an indoor ceremony inside of TheRiverRoom. The morning started early with set up in The RiverRoom and hair, make up, and photography in Sunset Flat. The weddings fall theme could be seen throughout the room with decor in shades of dark red, burnt orange, and browns. The Flemming's exchanged vows against decorative doors and flowers out together that morning. All guests were seated for the ceremony sitting on the side of their choice. Following the ceremony guests were invited to enjoy a spread of sandwiches and sweets while the newlyweds stepped outside for photos. Once photos were complete the bridal party enjoyed eating and socializing with guests until the reception concluded. Following the afternoon reception the happy couple were sent off and guests had the rest of the day to enjoy Wilmington and the nice warm weather! Congratulations Hope and Brad!

Taylor & Amanda Smith 10.23.16 #Miss2Smith

Amanda and Taylor had a lovely beach ceremony followed by a reception at The RiverRoom. The day was perfect for their outdoor ceremony, sunny and not too breezy! Prior to guests arrival the room was decorated and set with a romantic and nautical theme chosen by the bride. She brought her vision to life by dressing the tables in white and navy with navy napkins and gold flatware. She even hand made all the floral center pieces! Once guests and the bridal party arrived the doors opened and guests entered followed by introductions of the new Mr. & Mrs. Smith! After a few words of wisdom for the bridal party dinner was served! Casey's buffet served cornbread, mac & cheese, mashed potatoes with gravy, pulled pork, fried chicken, coleslaw, and blueberry cobbler! With full tummies guests got to relax as they watched the bride and groom dance with their parents as well as share a first dance. DJ Dave brought everyone on the dance floor to get the party started followed by the bride and groom's requested songs. Once the sun set the bridal party went outside to take some fun pictures with sparklers! Congratulations Taylor and Amanda Smith!
